Our nurses & receptionists

Yvonne Mackay

Registered Veterinary Nurse

Yvonne qualified as a Veterinary Nurse in 2008. She spent some time working in New Zealand before returning to Scotland to work in a busy small animal practice in Inverness.

After 3 years there she moved back home to Sutherland and took up the Veterinary Nursing position at Rogart Vets.

Judith Matheson

Receptionist (Rogart Surgery)

We are delighted to have Judith as part of our team.

Judith brings a lot of valuable experience to the Practice as she has previously worked in a busy city Vet Practice. During that time she undertook 2 years training to become a Veterinary Nurse, although she did not complete the course due to other commitments.

Judith lives locally with her partner, who is a game keeper. As well as keeping hens, they have several dogs and when not working Judith enjoys riding her pony.

Thank you to the nurse and receptionists who always spoiled Mac and gave him so much attention.

Rona Seccombe

Receptionist (Rogart Surgery)

Rona graduated from Aberdeen University with an MA in History and Sociology. Since then she has done a variety of jobs including teaching, office work and being a full time Mum.

After living in Edinburgh and South Africa, Rona has come home to live in Sutherland where she lives just outside Rogart with her dog, Jenna and two cats, Freddie and Charlie.

Rona was brought up on Kildonan Farm in the Strath of Kildonan. The family then moved to Culmaily Farm, Golspie, where her brother and nephew still farm.

Rona has three children and three step children who all love coming up to Rogart to visit.

Rachael Wilson

Vet Nurse Student

Rachael is our first year veterinary nurse student, currently studying at North Highland College. When Rachael is not working at Rogart Vets, she enjoys taking her black Labrador Lexi and her partner's chocolate Labrador, Cassie, out for long walks in the countryside. Rachael lives locally but once qualified she would like the opportunity to travel abroad to widen her experience.

Kylie Pope

Receptionist (Dornoch Surgery)

Originally from Lincolnshire, Kylie moved up to Sutherland after visiting on holiday in 2005 and never going back!  Kylie completed her HND in Equestrian Management and Business Studies in 2008 at UHI, Thurso.  She has moved around from Aberdeenshire to Brora after completing her studies.  Working in various Equestrian Industries before settling in Culrain.

She has a horse, a ferret and a snake.  She likes to make the most of the beautiful countryside in her spare time, by walking, riding her horse and cycling.  She is also an avid knitter, with socks being a favourite creation!  Brilliant for the Highland winters!
